Detroit native, Paris transplant, and sometimes Los Angeles resident, Joe Case is a nomad and film director. His endeavor is humanistic story telling in various forms. He is also currently on a mission to put real subject matter back into short form content. With American work ethic, a European sense of style, and an international perspective, Joe is a rare breed of hybrid whose creative vocabulary spans formats, cultures, and languages.

After obtaining a philosophy degree from the University of Michigan, Joe moved to downtown Detroit and stepped into the world of big advertising at the Doner agency. During this time he began exploring the world of filmmaking and produced, wrote, directed, and shot his first short film RUN. Soon he was calling in sick to go and work on commercial and music video shoots around Detroit. He soon realized that sitting behind a desk did not correlate with his philosophy so he hit the road to Los Angeles.

After some time in the production boot camp of LA, the wanderlust arose and Joe moved to the southern coast of France where he spent some of his time teaching English in a high school and most of his time traveling, advancing his photography skills, and meeting lots of strange and interesting characters. European accessibility and a taste for French life, combined with the love of film, spurred a move to Paris where he obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in film directing from the École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation. During this time he directed his next two films "Trois Jours," for which he also composed the musical score, and "Dorenavant."

Remaining in Paris, Joe continued to develop and direct various short projects while also traveling Europe shooting fashion and high performance cars. During this time he also paired up with the Partizan office in Paris where he became a treatment writer, creating job winning treatments with internationally acclaimed directors, both French and American.

Joe recently relocated to Los Angeles to develop various projects.
